BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington City Manger Tim Gleason has named Kevin Kothe as the city’s next public works director.
Kothe, who currently serves as city’s engineer, will take over his new role starting Sunday. Kothe has served as Bloomington’s engineer since 2009.
Jim Karch, current public works director, will become the city’s special projects manager, also effective Sunday. The special projects manager is a new role but it will not add to the city’s overall headcount. Karch will report directly to Deputy City Manager Billy Tyus.
Kothe will officially be recognized as the new public works director at the Bloomington City Council meeting Monday night.
