Liquor commission to consider license for Normal movie theater

NORMAL – A movie theater on Normal’s north side is hoping to sell alcohol to moviegoers.

AMC Classic, located at 201 McKnight Street, is asking for a Class R liquor license to sell various draft and bottled beer, wine, frozen margarita’s and other items.

The Normal Liquor Commission will vote on the license Monday night before the town council meeting.

A staff report to the commission said the license would not be issued until inspection reports are approved by the McLean County Health Department, Normal Fire Inspection Division, and the Normal Building Inspection Department.
