BLOOMINGTON – A Bloomington man who reportedly pointed a firearm at a juvenile family member was arrested Monday evening.
Franklin Sandoval, 34, was arrested for unlawful use of weapons, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possessing a firearm without a valid F.O.I.D. card as well as illegal possession of ammunition with no F.O.I.D.
According to our News partner, Heart of Illinois ABC, Bloomington police were called to the 1200 block of Butchers Lane in reference to a call for an armed subject.
After allegedly pointing a firearm at the juvenile family member, that juvenile fled the residence, according to a press release.
Officers surrounded the residence and attempted to make contact with Sandoval for over an hour.
Sandoval exited without resistance and was arrested without injury.
No injuries were reported in this incident.
No bond information is available for Sandoval at this time.
