FARMER CITY – A current administrator in the Blue Ridge schools is the choice to become the district’s next superintendent.
A district release says the Blue Ridge board next week is expected to formally name Dr. Hillary Stanifer as superintendent. Stanifer is in her third year as the district’s curriculum coordinator.
Stanifer previously served 10 years at Liberty Middle School in Edwardsville as assistant principal and principal, and one year at Garden Hills in Champaign just before coming to Blue Ridge.
Stanifer and her husband Scott are parents of three young adult daughters and have one grandchild. Scott is worship pastor at New Horizon United Methodist Church. They live in Mahomet and plan to move to the Blue Ridge district.
Stanifer will take over the superintendent’s role on July 1st, 2020 from Susan Wilson, who is retiring in June after serving since 2010.
