FARMER CITY – The school district issued a news release saying a high school student threatened another student early Tuesday afternoon and referred to a hit list with the names of other students.
Farmer City Police and the school’s resource officer immediately became involved and took action to protect students and staff according to a news release.
It’s not clear what steps were taken, but Superintendent Susan Wilson said she believes police made an arrest.
Farmer City Police were not immediately available for comment.
School personnel reportedly notified parents of the students who were named on the hit list.
