BLOOMINGTON – McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder said that a Bloomington man has died after being struck by a sport utility vehicle on Veterans Parkway last Thursday.
Authorities reported a sports utility vehicle hit Reginald Hubbert, 18, of Bloomington, who was reportedly walking near Veterans Parkway, just north of East Empire Street.
Bloomington Fire Department said it took Hubbert to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center after the accident.
Yoder said Hubbert was taken off of life support on Sunday. Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Hubbert died from head injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Bloomington Police Department.
BPD spokesperson John Fermon said at this time, no tickets have been issued and no arrests have been made.
