Bloomington Police investigating armed robbery

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police are asking for the public’s help in solving an armed robbery that occurred in the early hours of Friday morning.

BPD said officers were called to the 1800 block of W. Market St. for an armed robbery around 1:15 a.m.

Officers said the suspect entered the gas station, demanded money from the clerk while holding a firearm. The suspect then left with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a thin, black male, wearing dark clothes, and is approximately 5’7″ to 6’0″.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bloomington Police or McLean County Crime Stoppers.
