NORMAL – Investigators have determined a house fire Sunday night in Normal that injured a man was accidental.
Normal firefighters were called around 7:15 p.m. to the 100 block of East Irving Street. Investigators said the fire started in a wall of the residence near the area of an electrical outlet.
During the blaze, crews found the owner of the home inside and pulled him to safety. The man suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The damage is estimated to exceed $100,000, but the exact figure is pending insurance appraisal, according to NFD.
