BPD: Man, juvenile arrested for armed robbery

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police have arrested a man and juvenile for an armed robbery Friday afternoon.

BPD responded at 11:40 a.m. in the 600 block of South Main Street to the report of an armed robbery. Police say two victims were robbed and the suspects fled on foot.  Nobody was injured.

Authorities tracked the suspects to a residence in the 200 block of East Wood Street and arrested Gemonte Lyons, 20, of Bloomington, and a 16-year old juvenile.

Lyons face charges for armed robbery, aggravated battery, and mob action. The juvenile suspect faces armed robbery and mob action charges.
