BLOOMINGTON – Home Sweet Home Ministries has released the results from its third annual Night In A Car event.
This year Night In A Car had over 150 participants and raised $90,000.
Night In A Car is a homeless simulation in which participants live out of their cars during the overnight hours. The event was held February 1 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington.
“We are thrilled with the level of participation and support from our community,” said Mary Ann Pullin, CEO of Home Sweet Home Ministries in a statement. “Hundreds of local residents are more aware of the realities of homelessness in our community and have raised funds to help meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness.”
Home Sweet Home Ministries said Night In A Car has grown each year and the organization is preparing for an even larger turnout in 2020.
