Bloomington men arrested after drugs reportedly found during search

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police report the arrest of two men after finding drugs and a handgun during a search.

Police say Darren Gordon, 25, of Bloomington was arrested on preliminary charges of manufacture and delivery of narcotics and marijuana. The search early Wednesday in the 800 block of W. Washington St. reportedly turned up 36 tablets of alprazolam, which is also known as Xanax, as well as items suspected for drug distribution.

Police also arrested Semaj Collins, 28, of Bloomington for a second offense of possession of a weapon by a felon.

Two juveniles were taken into protective custody.
