Bloomington man arrested for alleged stabbing

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police have arrested a local man for allegedly stabbing an acquaintance over a dispute.

Police were called to the 1000 block of South East Street, near Evergreen  Cemetery, for a report of a stabbing Wednesday shortly after 5:15 p.m. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered a male victim, 47, with an apparent stab wound to his abdomen. The victim told officers he had been stabbed by someone he knew. Bloomington Fire Rescue arrived and took the man to a local hospital for a non-life threatening wound.

Officers investigated the incident and arrested Willie Johnson, 41, for Aggravated Battery. Johnson was taken to the McLean County Jail.
