BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington investigators have identified a suspect in last month’s triple homicide on Riley Drive.
Police said Sydney Mays Jr., 21, also known as Mitch or Syd, is wanted for six counts of first degree murder, two counts of attempted first degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated battery.
Mays is charged in connection with the June 18 shooting deaths of three Bloomington men, Nathaniel Pena, 22, Corey Jackson, 22, and Juan Perez-Macedo, 33, who was known as Carlos. A four-year-old boy was wounded in the incident.
Mays stands 5-9 and weighs 250 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police say he has a tattoo with the name “Shavone” on his right arm.
