SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Senate has approved a 12-year extension of the tax increment financing district in Uptown Normal.
State Senator Jason Barickman reports lawmakers followed the wishes of the town and the affected taxing bodies. The vote was taken Wednesday.
The TIF district would extend through 2038 under the measure. The bill now goes to the House.
