BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police have arrested a man on charges he was trying to sell crystal methamphetamine.
Police arrested two Champaign men at a traffic stop on Friday when officers found meth and heroin in their vehicle. According to court documents, police learned the men, Timothy Beckenholdt, 29, and Timothy Sheppard, 24, were staying at a Bloomington motel where they found 59 grams of meth along with more than 50 prescription pills without evidence of a prescription.
The meth has a street value of nearly $6,000. Beckenholdt reportedly told police he has sold meth. He faces felony charges of possession with intent to deliver and other charges. His bond has been set at $100,000. Sheppard faces possession charges .His bond has been set at $5,000.
