BLOOMINGTON – An organization is giving the West Bloomington Revitalization Project an online makeover.
48in48 is an organization that creates websites for nonprofit organizations. As WBRP program leader Armando Baez told WJBC’s Sam Wood, 48in48 goes to different locations across the country to revamp the online presence and marketing strategies of nonprofit organizations.
“They go to a variety of different cities and in 48 hours, they build 48 websites for 48 nonprofits,” Baez explained.
Baez said once the website is live, it will be in the hands of WBRP. Baez said people have been pushing for the WBRP to work with 48in48 for some time.
“People were emailing us like ‘you need to do this, you need to do this’,” said Baez. “There was a very extensive application process. They wanted to make sure you are a nonprofit and that you are committed to the project.”
48in48 will teach WBRP staff how to use the new website before it is made live on May 5. Baez says the web domain for WBRP will remain the same.
