DWIGHT – The Livingston County Coroner has released the names of the two victims who died in a house fire in Dwight early Wednesday morning.
Coroner Danny Watson said Guy Sassenger, 46, and Chad Weber, 42, were identified through dental records, tattoos and interviews with relatives.
Watson said both men lived at the reside South Union Street rental home which caught fire shortly after midnight.
Firefighters found their bodies on the first floor. Residents who lived on the upper floor heard the smoke alarm and were able to escape.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
