PEORIA – Illinois State men’s basketball never led as Bradley held off the Redbirds 70-58 on Wednesday night at Carver Arena.
Bradley (18-10, 8-7 Missouri Valley) led 29-22 at halftime and Illinois State sliced the deficit to six late in the second half after trailing by as many as 17 points.
Illinois State (14-13, 8-7) was led by 25 points from Milik Yarbrough. Keyshawn Evans returned from a bone bruise on his knee to score 10 points. Bradley placed three in double-digit scoring including Donte Thomas with 14, Darrell Brown with 13 and Jayden Hodgson with 10.

The Redbirds and Braves are now tied for fourth in the Valley. Illinois State is next in action at home on Saturday at 5 p.m. against Northern Iowa.
