Bloomington man found guilty of sex abuse charges

BLOOMINGTON – A McLean County judge has convicted a Bloomington man on sex abuse charges.

Judge Scott Drazewski on Thursday found Robert Wichmann, 50, guilty of aggravated criminal sexual abuse stemming from his relationship with a teenage girl over a period of several months.

The trial lasted four days.

The judge previously ruled against allowing a service dog in the courtroom to aid the 15-year-old victim as she testified.

Wichmann is scheduled to be sentenced March 9.
