Bloomington is considered the drunkest city in Illinois according to a recent study from the CDC which concluded excessive alcohol consumption cost the US economy nearly 250 billion dollars in 2010.
The study showed Bloomington outshines the rest of the state specifically in the 21.5 percent of the public who engaged in excessive alcohol consumption.
As such the city ranked the fifth highest city of adults who binge drink across the country.
The CDC defines excessive alcohol consumption as four or more drinks for women and five or more drinks for men.
