NORMAL – The Normal Rotary Foundation has donated $2,500 to the Children’s Discovery Museum to help fund a mobile pollination education station for the museum.
Part of the vision is to take this show on the road to elementary schools and community events in McLean County and beyond.
The Normal Rotary Foundation’s grant will supplement the original grant from the Bayer Crop Science Foundation. The Normal Rotary Foundation works with the Normal Rotary Club to support education and humanitarian causes.
Normal Rotary Club President Hank Campbell is shown with Rachel Carpenter, education manager for the Children’s Discovery Museum, and with Teresa Decker, the museum’s development coordinator.
“The support has made a big impact on the museum,” museum’s development coordinator Teresa Decker said. “It has helped us to dream about how we can build upon and expand the curriculum that rotary’s investment has enabled us to create.”
The Normal Rotary Club meets at noon most Wednesdays at the Bone Student Center.
