BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police say a man was robbed at gunpoint as he left the Knights of Columbus, 1706 R.T. Dunn Drive, early Thursday morning.
Police said the man left the hall shortly after 1 a.m. and was approached by a man and a woman. He told police the woman distracted him while the man put him on the ground and fired two shots from a pistol. The robbers reportedly took his wallet before fleeing in separate vehicles. Police said no one was injured.
Officers discovered during a subsequent investigation evidence of a shooting.
The male suspect is described as a black man wearing all dark clothing and dark sunglasses and is in his late 20s or early 30s. He fled northbound in a dark colored four-door vehicle. The female suspect described as white, wearing a white-hooded sweathshirt. She fled southbound in a white vehicle.
