BLOOMINGTON – A pedestrian is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Bloomington earlier this morning.
Bloomington police officers responded to the call around 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Market Street and Caroline Street. When officers arrived they found the pedestrian, a 63-year-old woman from Chicago, unconscious but breathing. She was transported to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center.
The driver of the vehicle and witnesses were interviewed at the scene. One witness said the pedestrian was wearing dark colored clothing and crossed the street against the traffic control light. The driver refused medical treatment and was released on scene.
