BLOOMINGTON – State Farm Insurance conducted an “active shooter” drill Monday, but the Bloomington-based company said the exercise is not due to any threats or recent mass shootings.
News partner WMBD-TV reports the exercise included a five-minute lock down to practice emergency procedures, and the evacuation of part of the building.
State Farm said the drill is based on industry standards. Local emergency responders participated in the drill to ensure employees’ safety.
