LEROY – A McLean County judge has found a LeRoy man guilty of charges connected to a report of a break-in and attempted sexual assault in January of this year.
Judge Scott Drazewski convicted 23-year-old Thomas Price after a bench trial on Wednesday of attempted criminal sexual assault, residential burglary and intimidation. Price was found not guity of home invasion.
LeRoy police arrested Price after receiving the call on January 10. Officers said the victim fought off Price with a serrated kitchen knife, and they followed a blood trail to his apartment where they found him unresponsive.
Sentencing is scheduled for November 21st.
