Bloomington Police seek tips to solve 2012 murder of homeless man

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington Police are asking for the public’s help in solving a five-year old murder mystery.

Police issued a news release Wednesday, five years to the day when Robert Jeronimus, a 48-year old homeless man, was found dead under the Center Street Bridge, just south of downtown Bloomington.

Jeronimus was last seen alive that same day, Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012.

Police are not revealing how Jeronimus died, but detectives say they’re still looking for more information about the days and hours before his death.

Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to a thousand dollars for tips leading the arrests and indictments.
