Fire damages vacant home on Grove St.

BLOOMINGTON – A fire at a house under renovation on Bloomington’s west side caused an estimated $50,000 in damage late Thursday night.

The Bloomington Fire Department reports receiving the call after 11:30 p.m. at 811 W. Grove St. Crews from Bloomington and Normal worked for about an hour to bring the fire at the two-story house under control.

No one was living in the house according to the owner. No injuries were reported.

An investigator did not list the cause of the fire but said it was accidental.
