LINCOLN – Storms that swept through Central Illinois on Monday night knocked down trees and caused scattered power outages.
Many of the damage reports were in Logan County as the worst of the storm mostly missed McLean County.
The National Weather Service reports several trees were downed, one blocked a road in Lincoln, while two cars were damaged by falling trees west of Atlanta. No injuries were reported.
Wind gusts were reported up to 59 miles per hour in the Lincoln area, while the heaviest rainfall was reported in Tazewell County at 2.6 inches.
Ameren and Corn Belt Energy crews have been working to restore power in Logan County and some other areas.
