CLINTON – The Clinton nuclear power station has returned to full power after a scheduled refueling outage that lasted nearly one month.
Plant operator Exelon said the Clinton facility powered up fully yesterday. Technicians replaced nearly one-third of the reactor’s fuel and performed maintenance, tests and modifications to many areas of the plant.
About 1,500 additional employees joined the Clinton workers for the operation.
