PONTIAC – A Pontiac-based agency serving people with intellectual disabilities is looking for home providers.
Employees from Mosaic told the Pontiac Kiwanis Club this week about its services. Community Relations Manager Joan Carlson said a home provider lives with the person and provides him or her with every need.
Independent Contract Program Coordinator Paula Humke explained what kind of a person would be a good home provider.
“It’s a person who wants to make a difference in somebody else’s life,” Humke said. “It could be a retired teacher, a retired nurse, a stay-at-home mom or a single parent.”
