BLOOMINGTON – There’s a new shop for sweet tooths in the Twin Cities.
Last month, Ivy Lane Bakery opened in downtown Bloomington.
The specialty cookie and scone shop was the dream of owner Susan Goeckner. She’s baked five thousand cookies every Christmas for the last several years, so she’s ready for the rush of customers.
“People over the years have suggested or wondered why we didn’t open a bakery and I just wasn’t ready. This year the idea stuck when we were having a good time in the kitchen this past Christmas,” said Goeckner.
If you are hankering for a sugar cookie or a raspberry scone, the bakery is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
