NORMAL – Gordmans is emerging from bankruptcy under new ownership.
About half of the company’s stores including its location at the Shoppes at Colleges Hills in Normal are being closed according to court documents that were filed in bankruptcy court over the weekend.
Gordmans stores in Fairview Heights, Moline, Champaign, Springfield and two locations in Peoria are staying open.
Forty-eight stores are closing nationwide, including five in Illinois – Normal, Vernon Hills, Naperville, Rockford and Machesney Park.
