Bloomington man identified in fatal pedestrian crash

NORMAL – McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis said a Bloomington man who was struck by an SUV Friday night died of multiple blunt injuries.

Jeffery Darr, 50, was hit while walking on Veterans Parkway near Shephard Road in Normal shortly before 8:30 p.m. Davis said Darr was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:19 p.m.

Police are trying to determine why Darr was in the roadway.

Toxicology results are pending.

The incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Normal Police Department.
