Bloomington police make arrest following investigation into series of burglaries

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington police have made an arrest after identifying a pattern of break-ins targeting properties on Bloomington’s west side.

Police arrested Wanyae A. Massey, 19, of Bloomington, for residential burglary in connection with a robbery on Feb. 16. He also had a McLean County warrant for manufacture/delivery of cannabis.

BPD is still investigating if the arrest is connected to any additional burglary cases in Bloomington. They’ve also issued a burglary alert on the west side.
