BLOOMINGTON – The Red Kettle campaign by the Salvation Army was hurt a bit this week by the cold temperatures.
Development Director Angie Fulton said as of Friday they were right at about $200,000 for the campaign, which has a goal of $490,000.
“We’re really confident in the community. We know they step up,” said Fulton. “We hope people think of us as they’re thinking of year-end donations and when they’re out doing their shopping they drop what they can in the kettles.”
Online donations can be made at www.sabloomington.org.
“Think of how you can support your community this time of year,” Fulton said.
Fulton added there are still plenty of time slots open to ring bells. Information on that is at www.ringbells.org.
