BLOOMINGTON- As the countdown to the holidays continue, so does the days for the WJBC Brotherhood Tree.
In it’s 47th year, the Brotherhood Tree is hoping to help over 2,000 families in McLean County this holiday season.
Brotherhood shopper Peggy Swerdlik said gifts for boys and and girls ages 9-12 are lacking so far in the amount of gifts received. She added that some ideas for those hard to shop for ages include basketballs for boys and jewelry and makeup kits for girls.
“The age groups of 6-8 and 9-12 are notoriously difficult to shop for because many don’t know the recent trends kids are hoping for,” she added.
This is also crunch time for the Brotherhood Tree. Gifts and donations need to be in by early next week to provide for the over 3,000 children.
A list of Brotherhood Tree drop-off locations, as well as a Paypal donation link, can be found at WJBC.com. Gifts and donations need to be by next week.
