Victim in Wednesday’s wreck has been identified

NORMAL – One person is dead following an accident between a semi and a Mack truck on Interstate 55 near mile marker 167 in Normal Wednesday.

McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis says 24 year old James Kwak of Burbank, Illinois died of blunt force chest trauma caused by the accident. Toxicology results are pending

The driver of the semi was pronounced dead a little after 3pm. The Mack truck driver was taken to a local hospital.

Davis says the crash remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Illinois State Police.
