WASHINGTON – Election day is right around the corner and current Republican U.S. Senator Mark Kirk says his opponent Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth has voted with Nancy Pelosi 94 percent of the time.
Kirk says more Democrats in congress mean less will be accomplished.
“When I first got to the Senate when he was majority leader we sat doing nothing,” said Kirk. “Harry Reid falsely believes the way to protect Democratic Senators was to never have a controversial vote.”
As for a remark at his last debate with Duckworth that some considered racist, Kirk says he has apologized and both candidates are putting the issue behind him.
When it comes to the presidential election, Kirk says he will not vote for Trump or Hillary. He said he will write someone in on the ballot.
