SPRINGFIELD – Illinois just finished up with one of the ten warmest Octobers on record and now November is looking to continue that trend.
State Climatologist Jim Angel said that this month is expected to warmer than normal. Some spots in the state might be a little on the dry side.
“For November, Illinois has an increased chance of being warmer than normal,” Angel said. “Areas in Illinois along the Mississippi River are part of an area with an increased change of being drier than average.”
October was the seventh warmest on record, sitting about five degrees above average. So far this year, Illinois has had nine of the first 10 months go down as warmer than normal.
