BLOOMINGTON – Home Sweet Home Ministries reports reaching about three-quarters of its goal of donated turkeys for its Give Thanks 2016 campaign.
The organization reports collecting enough money for more than 1,500 turkeys, leaving fewer than 500 needed to reach the goal of 2,000. The Give Thanks 2016 campaign kicked off just over a week ago. The turkeys are used in food baskets and meals provided by Home Sweet Home on Thanksgiving Day.
Donations are still accepted via turkey cards available at HyVee, any Bloomington-Normal Jewel-Osco and Vale Church in Bloomington.
