CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cubs and Indians play Game 7 Wednesday for the World Series crown, and Cubs fans are ready.
The Cubs forced Game 7 at Progressive Field with a convincing nine to three road win in Game 6 yesterday. Watching from the right field stands was 65-year old Cubs fan Chester Ruben, who believes the 108 year old World Series drought ends Wednesday.
“Yes, absolutely. The problem the first three or four games was no hitting and it looks like they’ve finally sort of gotten themselves back together in terms of looking at pitches, not swinging at bad pitches as often and everything else. And we’ve got Hendricks starting. I’m pretty confident. I can’t wait,” Ruben said.
Either way, one long suffering fan base will celebrate The Cubs haven’t won the World Series since 1908 and the Indians haven’t won since 1948.
