
BLOOMINGTON – An early-morning car accident in Bloomington has left one man dead and another injured.
McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis said in a statement that a single-vehicle car accident on Oakland Avenue near Meadows Street killed a 35-year-old man just after 3:00 a.m. Saturday.
Davis said the deceased was presumed to be the driver of the vehicle and was wearing a seat belt. A passenger in the vehicle was treated for injuries at a local hospital and his status is unknown at this time.
Names are being withheld pending further notification of family and the incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and the Bloomington Police Department.
