Motorcyclist in Bloomington crash upgraded to fair condition

BLOOMINGTON – The condition of the motorcyclist who collided with a school bus in Bloomington on Monday is improving.

Chris Beck, 33, of Bloomington has been transferred to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. An OSF spokesman said Beck is listed in fair condition.

McLean County Sheriff’s Police say the motorcycle Beck was riding crashed into a school bus near Hazel and Bunn streets in Bloomington at 6:50 a.m.

No one on the bus was hurt. There were 21 students on their way to Cedar Ridge Elementary.

Police ticketed Beck for reckless driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
