NORMAL – The Children’s Discovery Museum has its new executive director.
Shelleigh Birlingmair begins her new duties in two weeks. She has been a vice president and wealth management consultant for Commerce Trust Company since 2004. She currently chairs the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal and is the incoming chair of the Advocate BroMenn Philanthropy Council board. Birlingmair has also served on the boards of the American Red Cross of the Heartland and the OSF St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation Council.
Visitor Services Coordinator Shelly Hanover has been the interim museum director since April 11. She will now report to Birlingmair.
