BLOOMINGTON – The sheriff of McLean County is taking a stand on those who refuse to stand during the national anthem.
“I have no problem with people with legitimate protest and doing it in the right way, but I think this takes it a little far,” said Sandage. “It’s just aggravating when you see our country or our flag disrespected.”
Sandage’s son is the quarterback for the Bloomington Purple Raiders.
Sandage says he would be talking to his son about those who died for our country if he didn’t stand during the national anthem.
