BLOOMINGTON – The defense attorney for Kirk Zimmerman could soon be filing motions under seal.
Zimmerman is charged with one count of first degree murder for allegedly killing his ex-wife, Pamela Zimmerman, in Bloomington in November 2014.
During a hearing in McLean County Court Tuesday morning, Zimmerman’s attorney said he plans to file some future motions under seal, meaning they would not be made public, in part to keep from contaminating the jury pool when the case goes to trial.
Zimmerman will next appear in court on Nov. 21.
