CHICAGO – An attack on an Illinois State Senator and former U.S. Senate candidate backfired in a big way.
Napoleon Harris, a former NFL player, decided to handle a pizza deivery for his Harvey restaurant. Four suspects all expected the delivery guy to be an easy mark, but Harris didn’t exactly let himself go after leaving the National Football League. He fended off the attackers although they did get some money and the pizza before fleeing in a SUV.
The story doesn’t end there. Police used tips from Harris to track down the abandoned vehicle and police found blood inside and learned the SUV was registered to a man found dead in Georgia. Three of the four men were arrested on murder charges in Georgia. No charges have been filed against the fourth attacker.
