SPRINGFIELD – State Senator Jason Barickman has been promoted into the Republican leadership of that chamber.
Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno has appointed Barickman as Senate Republican Whip. Radogno credits the Bloomington lawmaker as the Senate Republicans’ leading voice on education.
The leadership changes are a result of resignation of Senator Matt Murphy, which became official on Thursday.
The appointment takes effect immediately.
