BLOOMINGTON – Police have ticketed a school bus driver following a chain reaction three-vehicle crash on Tuesday.
Bloomington Police spokeswoman Sara Mayer said the driver for First Student – which transports Unit 5 students – was headed southbound on Veterans Parkway near Commerce at about 4 p.m. and was unable to stop at a traffic light. The bus rear-ended a utility trailer that was being hauled by an SUV. The SUV then collided with a car in front of it.
Mayer said no injuries were reported on scene. The bus driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
