STANDARD – Illinois State Police are searching a Putnam County home as they search for a woman who has been missing for three weeks.
Deborah Dewey, 62, of Ladd was last seen on Aug. 22, in Spring Valley. On Aug. 29, Dewey’s gray 2007 Buick LaCrosse was found unlocked at the TA Truck Stop on Illinois Route 47, just north of Interstate 80.
ISP Zone 3 Investigations and local law enforcement investigators are searching a residence located at 5th Street and Illinois Route 71 in Standard. Investigators are searching the residence and surrounding property for evidence of Dewey’s disappearance.
The search for Dewey continues with the assistance of the ISP Intelligence Support Unit, ISP Digital Crimes Unit, STIC, ISP Crime Scene Services, ISP District 17, Illinois Conservation Police, Bureau County Sheriff’s Office, LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s Office, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Ladd Police Department, and Kane County Sheriff’s bloodhound unit.
The investigation into Dewey’s disappearance remains an open and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dewey is encouraged to contact ISP District 17 Headquarters at (815) 224-1171.
